How It All Began
Anushka’s culinary journey took her to London in 2016 for a patisserie course, where fate crossed her path with Divij, a postgraduate student. Living in the same student accommodation, their connection sparked instantly. With Divij’s easy charm and Anushka’s warmth, what began as friendship soon blossomed into love.
The Proposal
After three years of togetherness, Divij planned a heart-melting proposal at the Roseate Hotel. The room glowed with fairy lights, blooms, champagne, and a cake—but the real magic unfolded when the blinds rolled up to reveal “Marry Me” shining in marquee lights outside. For Anushka, it was a moment frozen in time—equal parts intimate and cinematic.
The Perfect Venue – Sheraton Hua Hin
When it came to choosing the wedding destination, Anushka and Divij envisioned an intimate celebration by the beach with their closest family and friends. After scouting several venues in Phuket and Hua Hin, the couple was enchanted by the Sheraton Hua Hin’s resort-like feel, its ocean-kissed mandap, and the promise of effortless grandeur.
As Anushka shares, “The property has a proper resort feel and yet is not scattered at all. It is literally made for Indian weddings. The mandap overlooking the beach was the most special aspect of our wedding. Even though we looked for alternatives, Sheraton Hua Hin had everything I had ever dreamed of.”
The Celebrations
Cocktail – Vintage Glamour
The festivities opened with a vintage glam cocktail lit in warm tones, pampas grass, chandeliers, and pastel florals. Anushka shimmered in a silver lehenga while Divij looked sharp in a navy velvet bandhgala.
Mehendi – Poolside Fiesta
A vibrant poolside mehendi followed, with colorful drapes, dreamcatchers, flamingoes, and a buzzing beer bar. Anushka wore a bright orange Papa Don’t Preach gown, while Divij stunned in a lavender kurta with a multicolored bandi.
Sangeet – Tropical Jungle
The sangeet night came alive with lush foliage, crystal accents, and a chevron dance floor. Guests enjoyed dazzling performances before hitting the floor. The bride dazzled in gold Amit Aggarwal, while the groom turned heads in a white tuxedo.
Wedding – A Blush Pink Dream
The big day unfolded under a blush pink and white mandap by the sea. Anushka was radiant in a Sabyasachi lehenga, paired with Hazoorilal jewels, while Divij complemented her in a regal sherwani.
